Leadership

Lovelane Music Group represents the continuation and expansion of a legacy built from independent music publishing, artist development, licensing, and entrepreneurship spanning generations. At the foundation of the company is Sammy Kaplan, a longtime founder behind a network of influential publishing and music entities including Lovelane Music, Boogaloo Music, Danceland Records (Morris Kaplan founder) Lovelane Music Publishing, Mystical Music Publishers, and Mister Sam Music. Sammy started Lovelane Music in 1960 in Detroit.

Working alongside Ron Cobert over the years, Kaplan helped preserve and build a catalog rooted in Detroit soul, funk, rhythm & blues, Boogaloo-era recordings, and independent American music culture. Together, Sammy Kaplan and Ron Cobert developed creative strategies that connected music ownership, artist branding, storytelling, licensing, and long-term intellectual property value.

Today, under the leadership of Ron Cobert, CEO of Lovelane Music Group Inc., the company has evolved into a modern entertainment and media ecosystem that extends far beyond traditional music publishing. Cobert and Kaplan expanded the Lovelane brand umbrella into film, television, streaming media, podcasting, merchandising, licensing administration, direct-to-consumer platforms, digital advertising, and emerging technology ventures. The company now develops not only music assets, but also entertainment brands, visual content, artist-driven intellectual properties, apparel concepts, collector merchandise, and new media applications designed for modern audience engagement and monetization.

Working together across generations, Sammy Kaplan and Ron Cobert helped transform Lovelane from a traditional publishing operation into a diversified creative enterprise focused on ownership, licensing, storytelling, commerce, and scalable entertainment ecosystems. Under Ron Cobert’s expansion strategy, Lovelane Music Group continues developing new music releases, documentaries, films, television properties, branded merchandise, streaming concepts, mobile applications, and direct-to-consumer platforms designed to preserve legacy catalogs while building future-facing entertainment ventures.

The Lovelane Music Group catalog and affiliated projects now reach across music licensing, film and television placements, branded entertainment campaigns, artist development, digital distribution, merchandising, and technology-driven media initiatives — bridging classic American music history with modern multimedia innovation.
