In a burst of inspiration, Sammy Kaplan and Jesse Greer collaborate on a fresh new track titled “Quiet Home.” Sammy brings in a new rising star he found at the Grande Ballroom on stage, the young 21-year-old captivating female vocalist Alyssa Franklin, whose voice would bring the final touch to their masterpiece, all recorded in Jesse’s living room with Jerry O and the Funk Brothers. For the final edit and mix, Sammy and Jesse produced it, and Engineer Mike Terry arranged the song at United Sound. They christened their ensemble by calling themselves “The Sea Shells,” backed by renowned Lovelane Music and Village Records (Villige Records).

Embarking on the current visual collaboration of the “Quiet Home” Music Video, Ron Cobert casts first-time actress London to capture the melancholic beauty of Alyssa. Exploring the haunting echoes of love, once vibrant but now lost, within the silent walls of a currently empty home, we experience melodic melancholy. Ron and London’s “Quiet Home” collaboration is a gorgeous and sexy unveiling of what Alyssa thought when she sang Jesse Greer’s words of love and loss. Ron’s filmmaking captures London’s expressive eyes and authentic vulnerability.

Through colors of despair juxtaposed against the vivid echoes of lingering memories, “Quiet Home” transformed intimate sorrow into a universally resonant experience, entwining the soulful music with visual storytelling that offered a sanctuary for shared emotional landscapes, thus immortalizing The Sea Shells’ masterpiece in the tenderly cradled life experience of its audience.

Oh my. Sexier than planned, first-time actress London heats up the lens portraying the Sea Shells’ singer Alyssa Franklin in our new music video for “Quiet Home” by the Sea Shells. As a visual artist, capturing compelling imagery is everything. London and I worked in sync. The story is set in 1968 on a lonely, snowy day in Detroit. Alyssa feels the day heavy, and a song is an outlet, so she harmonizes the melodic melancholy haunting echoes of love, once vibrant but now lost, within the silent walls of a currently empty home.

Lyrics

Ha-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ha (singer and harmonized background)

A quiet home is a sad home
There is no laughter there
And loneliness is everywhere
And love has left me alone
I live in a quiet home
And a quiet home
Is a sad home

A quiet home is a sad home
And the door is always closed
A chill wind always blow’n when all has gone long
I live in a quiet home
And a quiet home
Is a sad home

OOh OOh OOh OOh OOh OOh (harmonized background)
OOh OOh OOh OOh OOh OOh (harmonized background)

Ew and how a house looks so gloomy
And only your picture can smile back at me
And say you really love me
Oh you must be in misery
So bring back the sun
The laughter and the fun

It’s a quiet home
Oh no don’t leave me alone
Please please come back to me
OOh OOh Baby (harmonized background)
OOh OOh Baby Baby Baby(harmonized background)
Please, please, please
